Best Movies: Chick-Flick Edition, In Our (Obviously Right) Opinion

As we enter another weekend of self-isolation, we figured it couldn’t hurt to give you, our loyal fans, a (deeply researched, extensive, pretty-much-perfect) first list of movies you should be watching while bored at home. This first edition is dedicated to “chick flicks,” we’re taking the term back, ladies. These are movies that “are designed to appeal to a largely female audience, and many times deal with love and romance” (thanks Wikipedia).

We’ve subdivided the list into: Teenage Movies (a.k.a movies about teenagers, but certainly not just for teenagers), Romantic Comedies (self explanatory, movies about romance that are also funny), GRL PWR (a.k.a movies that are awesome and have a female empowerment theme to them), Dramas (a.k.a romantic movies to make you cry) and Coming of Age stories (a.k.a movies that focus on growth). The movies themselves are in no particular order.

If you’re in the mood for any of the above, don’t try to browse through Netflix, HBO, Hulu, etc. blindly for an hour and half until you give up and watch something that turns out to be trash. We’ve done the research for you, take advantage. You’re welcome.
